WW II 6 volt grounding question

On WW II equipment, some of which was 6 volt, does anyone know if this was pos or neg ground? I know all civilian 6 volt stuff was pos ground.

I bought a 6 volt temp gauge that is WW II surplus from an International truck...I want to use it on a 1950 Ferguson tractor which is 6 volt pos ground.
