This Dodge has appeared in many parades, an episode of "VIP" and Four Wheel drive magazine as one of the Top Twenty SUV's of the 20th Century.

After WW2, it was shipped to Switzerland as part of the Mutual Aid package to foreign friendly countries. I am the third owner since she was returned to the USA. This is a good example of an unrestored Command Car, all that has been done is regular maintenance and a couple of coats of paint. I have installed a complete new wiring harness, (custom made by Vintage Wiring of Maine), and discreet turn signals as well as a WW2 12 volt siren. The gas tank has been steam cleaned and coated inside. The master cylinder and three wheel cylinders have been replaced, (I still have to get around to the fourth wheel cylinder). The seats have been recovered and I built a new oak frame for the back seat since the original had rotted.

There is some rust on the top hat section under the rear and under the battery, (which is new). Tires are good and this is one of the fastest MV's around, it will do 54 mph on the freeway which is when the governor cuts in. She has some wheel shimmy at about 40 mph but this could probably be cured with a bit of maintenance or more regular use. There is no top or bows and the shock absorbers could do with new rubber bushings, although the suspension is so solid that they don't seem to do a lot.
