I am a business man myself (27 years). What I would do is one or all of the list:
1. Hire a local lawyer (if it can be done cheaply) to write him a threatening letter.
2. Small claims court action (however you might have to go back to Ohio for the hearing)
3. Collection agency...they would at least mess with his credit rating. They work on a percentage, although there may be "start up" costs unless you already work with one.
4. Put out the word on ebay that he screwed you, but be careful you just state the facts, nothing more.
Sorry that you got the shaft. It has happened to me even though I am careful now. It is unfortunately a fact of life.
