I am not a profesional, however I do a lot of painting of my own trucks. I use the Sharp brand cobalt gun (it is blue in color hence the name) I am quite happy with it and at $130.00 it is reasonably priced. By the way the presure reduction takes place in the gun so you run 40 psi going into it from your air compresor. There is no difference in using the gun as opposes a HPLV gun except that there is no overspray. You can paint inside without covering everthing within 30 ft. with paint.
