If this is something you are interested in, you have a few options. Some of these are kinda unusual, but they would be interesting.

(First, in case you are not aware, the ambulance and M201 repair truck have longer chassis than the M37.)

One is to find another ambulance body. Not likely to find a body alone, but ya never know.

Another is to make a flat bed out of it, possibly with a "military" look. This is probably the most expedient. You can then put a replacement ragtop cab on it, or clean up the existing one.

Or for a radical idea, get a second cab and section the two together for a four door cab. That would be unusual. You could then put a short flatbed behind that, or maybe shorten a military trailer bed or (shudder) an M-37 box (hate to see a good one cut up). That would be a very unusual rig, and one you could haul the whole family in 'comfort' in.

Or, get a replacement ragtop cab and find an M201 utility body.

Wild ideas, but....who knows?
