{{how do i find out if my PW is 12 or 24 volts. }}
What year and model do you have? The military versions came in 6, 12, and 24 volts depending on model and year. The WDX style was 6 or 12 volt. '56 was the first year for 12 volts. Earlier ones were 6 volts but were sometimes changed to 12 volt for easier starting. Look at your generator. It will have a small plate on it to show the voltage output. If it says 7.5 volts, then you have a 6 volt system. If you have an alternator, you probably have a 12 volt as I haven't seen 6 volt alternators until the last couple of years. This is something new.
