2 can handle it but a third person on the grille area wouldn`t hurt, especially if you have a winch to lift over. Taking the clip off is nice but it is definitely nose heavy. I usually lift my clip off with an engine crane. You can put the clip in the bed from the side, nose first but lay mats or blankets over the bed rail and fender for the inners to rest on.
