I went for the first time this year. Thanks to Dave Butler and all the folks at VPWs for a wonderful time!

Where else but on this page can you get sage advice from people the caliber of Gordon Maney, Don Evans, and Dave and Steve at Vintage, while seeing so many trucks in restored and semi-restored condition? The Rally is an interesting gathering of farmers, truckers, ex-hippies, and neophites like me with one great thing in common - a love of these old trucks. Some guys like myself have one precious truck, other guys have 5 or 6 in their collection.

Not much in the way of a swap meet though, perhaps because of the scarcity and value of parts. My impression is that guys are hoarding parts and will give them to a friend sonner than sell them to strangers. I sold a windshield regulator to a guy from Illinios who had his windshield propped open with a block of wood, even though my friends who collect Power Wagons advised me to hang on to it. The guy needed it now, I didn't. We were both satisfied.

If you ever have a chance to go - do! just don't expect it to be like your typical truck show. It's far better!
