It took two trucks with winches (Marc's M-37 and a WM300), a non winch truck (Bruce's WC-12), a high-low jack, a snatch block, and two trees(anchor points) to get the M-37 out of the stream. Plus a V8 Wrangler(lockers front and rear, 304 AMC motor, Nick's), a WC-12(Bruce's), and a 70's Bronco (Lockers front and rear, and a 400ci motor, Mike's) to get it out of the valley and up to the road.

When brought up to VPW's for repair they drained out a 5-gallon bucket worth of mud, water, and oil out of the engine.

Moral of the story, WADE obstructions first, and go slow.

That trail ride was a real blast, and I am looking forward to driving my PW Town Wagon on it next year.

I had a great time getting the M-37 out of trouble(hey it wasn't my truck!)but I hope I don't get my truck in a similar situation when I go on that trail!

Does anybody have a video of the trail ride?. I know there were at least two video cameras on the ride, and I would love to get a copy of one, especially if someone has the portion where the M-37 gets stuck, and our attempts to get it out(parts of that would make a great How Not To Do IT video). If anyone has a copy, please E-mail me at ( townwagon @hotmail.com ) I will happily pay for shipping and the price of having it copied.
