The windshield frames on my M37 were extremely rusty, with many large holes and missing
parts. Anybody else would have probably bought new ones, but being determined not to put
much money into this truck, I just cleaned them well patched all the gaps with metal-filled
epoxy ("Super-weld", sold by Titan industries). I put on lots of epoxy, then used a belt
sander to grind the outside down to match and a dremel tool to carve out the inside to make
room for the glass. I primed the whole thing with some fancy 3-part strontium chromate epoxy
paint which I happened to have gotten for free. Rather than trying to get the right rubber
strips to hold the glass in, I just glued it in with sikaflex. It's only been a year since
I did this, but it the super-weld is still sticking to the rusty frame and the paint is still
sticking to everything.
