The tires on my 'new' M-37 are shot. No problem, I'll swipe my brand new Firestone bias ply 900x16 NDT military tires from my other project.
But, I'd like to go to an even larger tire to reduce the low gearing penalty. I understand 1000x16 and 1100x16 will fit a stock M-37. Is 1200x16 and larger the point of being too large?
Does anyone have diameters for military tires of these sizes (so I can calculate final speed and rpm)?
Source for NDT tires this size? Any alternatives that 'look' like a military tire? I need 'bulletproof' tires, as I intend to put this rig in some hard country, and don't want to carry a trailer full of spares.
