Thanks - that's great information. The special tool can be a problem though. How many special tools can a backyard hack like me justify? The riv-nuts aren't original, but could certainly help for future projects. The other day while driving home (optimal thinking time) I realized I have an extra fender with plenty of nuts that I can try to use. I'll have to see how pliable the material is that holds the nut in place after installation. We'll see. Of course this is only one of millions of the tasks that need to be done, so I may not be posting any results soon. Thanks again.
