{{My truck is a 1980 3\4 ton Dodge Power Wagon Sno-Commander. It has a 360 with a four barrel Holley and an automatic transmision. I need to now what the gear ratio is in the rear en and so far I havent been able to find out what it is. If any one could please help me I would very greatly appreciate it. Email me at Nautique_527@hotmail.com ,thank you very much.}}If you're really lucky, the identification tag will still be on the rear end. It will be mounted under one of the bolts holding the differential cover plate on. It will have something like 3.55 on it and this will be your ratio. Your front ratio will be slightly lower (i.e.3.54 with 3.55 in the rear) This is so you don't overrun your transfer case. The truck will pull straight. If this is missing, the only real way to find out is to remove the rear plate and look on the ring gear. It will have a part number and also the ratio. Note, if you have a sur-grip rear end, there may be a second tag there also.
