I also put a set of AM Bosch wipers in my PW, although 6 volt.
These things seem very sensitive to any crud or oil on the commutators. Yes, I did over oil them!
When arcing so severely, just one motor pulls a lot of current, and will easily blow a 10 amp fuse.
Take the armatures out and carefully clean all the crud off the commutators, then do a #600 sand paper clean up. Also soak the brushes in lacquer thinner to remove oil that may have soaked ino them. Otherwise they work effectively as a commutator lubricating wick.
Might as well soak the top bearing assembly too. Then re oil it with only 1-2 drops of oil.
Check to see if there was too much grease in the gearbox that gets passed the shaft, up into the main bearing, and causes drag on the armature.
I did that too...
