Missed you and Suzy at the Texas Rally! The 4.10 gears came from two mid-50's Dodge 2WD trucks with full floating rear axles. As 4.89's are far more common on those trucks, it took a looooong time to find both. Actually, I found a 4.30 and swapped it for the second 4.10, but the same amount of effort was required. Both 4.10's are 8-3/4" R&P, 2 bearings, 4 pinions, with 7/16" stud holes. Should bolt right in a late war WC 3/4 ton centered rear axle housing, so I hope.

I sold the WDX crewcab to a local friend a few years ago. He is making as much progess as I would have had I kept it: none. It's still just like it was when it was a famous Cover Guy.
