On the m37B1 the left and right tail lights are the same. The upper oval lens covers the "service tail and brake lights" The lower rectangular is the "blackout tail"...("4" lights is too close, "1" light is too far back, seeing "2" lights is correct following distance). The separate light above the right tail light is the "blackout brake" light. Just one white inverted triangle. The Blackout brake comes on with the switch in both B/O Drive and B/O.
On the m37 the right light was different from the left. The right had the same b/o tail in the lower portion and the b/o brake in the upper, again a small inverted white triangle. This made for no right side service tail or service brake light.
