Steve,
Alot of times the store which sold you the ball joints will lend you an installation press. I just did all 4 on an F-150 and it was 40 times easier and faster with the tool . I have also used the caveman method of pounding them in with a rock, er hammer but never felt particularly good about it.. The tool is like a c clamp on steroids and a bunch of adapter rings. Harbor freight has them for about 40 dollars. I assume it will work for your application, but dont know for sure. The newest Dodge I have had is 1957.
