I pulled a transfer case out of a '52 Power Wagon. Where the speedo cable normally goes into the transfer case there is a small box attached, and the speedo cable attaches to that. I pulled the box off and after letting it soak in the parts washer for a few days, it's clean. It's just a small rectangular box with a speedo cable input fitting on one side, and a output fitting on the other side. It says "Stewart" on it, and underneath that is stamped "1.0888"
Is this a speedo correction gear for a truck equiped with 4.89 gears and 7.50-16 tires?
Anyone else seen one of these?
