I know I'll probably catch a lot of flack but I've driven nothing but Ford diesels and have only had one injector pump go out and that was under warranty. I have constantly driven mine under harsh -40's, -50's and lower temps. The only thing I've suffered from is leaking power train seals. The engine has been fine, but a little cranky to start when extremely cold. Currently drive a 93 F250 Turbo diesel so can't speak to the Power Strokes and the new 6.0 liter. I'm inclined to buy new as normally people trade something in for a reason. Body shops have become so good now days you really can't tell anymore or at least I can't. I am not particularly brand loyal and will consider all when the time comes to get another one. Rest assured there are lemons amongst all the different types. It does seem though you normally only hear about the bad rather than the good similar to gossip. Personally I'm thankful for diversity as it keeps everyone on their toes and competitive. For the obligatory Power Wagon topic, does anyone know where I could find a source for the strips of metal that are welded to the bed that hold the wood bed boards in? I only need one small piece and don't want to have to replace the whole thing. My 2 cents worth and thanks to all.
