engine/trans swap

I have a 1962 W300 (1 ton) and a 1972 D200 (3/4 ton).

I'd like to install the 318 engine and auto trans from the 72 3/4 ton onto the 62 1 ton. The 62 W300 has the 318 poly wide engine, and non-syncro 4 speed that goes with it.
Is this do-able or crackpipe talk?
