I built a couple of nuclear contaiment rooms. (Billy can really talk about this!!!) We test with kerosene. The molecular structure of kerosene is incredibly small and the kerosene will pass through just about anything. You simply spray it on with a Hudson sprayer, any poor weld will let the kerosene seep right through. In three containment rooms 20'x60' including the roof, we only had three leaks....all but one, in the middle of the sheet steel, not at the welds!!! The steel was more porous than the kerosene, ha!ha!
