But the question is HOW MANY CUMMINS get this great mileage of 20mpg. I spent 2 weekends in a 95 12valve 1 ton and the damn thing didnt get any better then 13mpg. It was pulling a flatbed car trailer. Exactly what my 95 360 does. I did the math on my calculator watch right there at the station for my friend.

What did Eric B get for MPG on his christmas trip out west???

My friend who had 5 Dodge's at one time didnt ever get beyond about 15MPG on a few of the trucks he had. Lots of guys at our Charger Shows report 8-16mpg pulling enclosed trailers and flatbed trailers.

I'm not doubting the Cummins. In a work enviroment of working the truck day in and day out it will do better then the gas engine.

If someone is gonna pull a vehicle to a show 2 times a year and a boat to the lake a few times and plan to trade off in a few years then the gas engine is the way to go.

If you plan to keep the truck and just drive it until it falls apart then the Cummins is the way to go.

Or if you are a power nut and dont care about price but want pure performance then get the Cummins.

Anyone who uses the trip computer to calculate MPG is crazy. I have yet to see a trip computer that was right on the money.

Odometer and the gallons you pump in and do the math.
