Are we having a bad hair day Martin? = )
$85 US dollars for that here at my local dealer. When they send me a coupon it is less, as I already said, $64. If I keep my truck 5 years that will be 100,000 miles and twice past the $$ break even point, even if I don't tow. I do however have about 3,000 lbs in the boxes, so I'm driving around at 11,000 most of the time, with an EMPTY bed and before hooking up to anything. I'm rated at 19,600 GCVW (it is not a 1 ton, it's a chassis/cab). I have a 7 year, 100,000 mile factory warantee, on engine and drivetrain. I don't plan on buying anything for that truck but fuel and oil! That's the beauty of buying new. Every V-8 I've rebuilt cost at least $2,500, but at the rate they burn gas why bother? You're losing track of the intial discussion which was that diesels are cheaper over their life span than gas motors, per every 100,000 miles driven.
