I hope you have not bolted on the knuckle felt seals and you did shock the cups and bearings for a tight seat?? You'll want to wait until after you have adjusted the knuckle preload before installing the seals. It's important to get into the 25-28 range to prevent knuckle shake or front wheel shimmy using the bronze. You may not be able to safely reach that range using tappered rollers on top and bottom. If you try, it's possible you might break cap bolts, since it wasn't designed for a roller setup. On the hand, my 48 jeep truck used upper/lower tappered rollers and called for 25 pounds of preload, but it was designed that way. I know some of the guys have used roller instead of bronze and maybe one can comment on preload with the tappered roller.

My guess is 20-22lbs may be sufficient.
