Hey Tom, Where in sunny Oregon are you? You may want to check out plastic media blasting-it will only remove the layers of paint that you want removed. Might be a whole lot easier than sanding. I think there is a place on the eastside of Portland that can do this. Not sure of the name though. If you want I'll see what I can dig up. birdo
