It would have moved the load to the front wheels more in that picture but it had around 1,000 lbs in the bed becides the toung weight of the trailer. The problem is not having the tork to pull the load with the 350cid 200+ hp or so. Transmission was being worked real hard. When it was only weight on the trailer on flat ground no more then 50 mph it was not so bad. I just did not feel this truck could handle a emergency if something went wrong or it was hot out over heating the engine and transmission being a automatic. Just my opinion. I have seen 350s with a manual transmision on 1 tons do OK, just the feel of the 1/2 ton was kind of a scary feeling while driving it 50+ mph. Mark H.
