You're probably right Clint, I should have kept him!
I didn't mean to say Wilbur needs to be restored...Wilbur needs someone to spend lots of hours trying to somehow preserve him so he can be used again. If Wilbur is used as is it won't be too many more years before Wilbur can't be used anymore...know what I'm saying?
It would take a very talented person to spot in, clear coat or whatever aproach you decided to take.
You have to see the truck to understand...there is very little paint left on it to restore & there is surface rust under all the original paint.
I thought about scuffing it with a scotch-brite pad spotting in the roof & hood & spraying the whole truck with a satin clear epoxy but I just didn't want to ruin the truck.
I'm not a talented enough painter to tackle this project but hopefully someone here is so we can see the results when you're finished!
