I bought a tri axle equipment trailer a few years ago. It had brake problems so I got a good deal.........I thought. All 6 brakes were rusted beyond repair. I called the company and they said they did not have replacements. Tried 'Red Neck Trailer' and was told nothing available to replace the brakes as the backing plate are all welded.
I did the righ thing, bought (3) 7000# Dexter axles with ezlube, brakes and tires.
I would never again buy anything with house trailer axles for anything that was going a long distance or that I wanted to keep. The house trailer axles ended up shortened and 2 of them used on my engine test stand.
