Anyone using Amsoil???

A guy I work with is switching over to Amsoil Synthetic for his 2000 CTD. The dealer he gets it from is putting on a dual remote bypass oil filter that filters down to less that 1 micron. Apparently, it's the same system long haul truckers use and go 100K between oil changes. You just change the filter and top off the oil level. There is some oil analysis program that goes along with it.
I was thinking about doing it with my '01 CTD. Anyone have any expirence with it?
