Did you have to grind the outside of the 2 1/2" socket to get it to fit in the hub?
I have two, and both had to be ground down on the outside to fit.

Are you going to be on hand for the shooting?
As for a heavier front axle, this has been debated many times, and I keep hearing that the later trucks have a different spring perch location on the side that sits with the pumpkin.
In other words, the axle would stick out on one side or the other, as you can't change that spring perch.
I have never tried, or measured, so I can't say.
Anyone every tried it?
