I paid 1.69 for diesel this past week in Rhode Island. Made a quick trip of 705 miles and got 20.x on the onboard computer.
Actual calculations proved the 20.x within a few tenths. and that is with only 2900 miles on the engine and using Cut Winter Blend fuel. SO why is diesel more or equal to gas, its easier to make diesel. I do remember the gas wars. I remember seeing signs for .18 a gallon and they still filled it for you. I also remember the local Conoco station would fill it up, check oil, water, battery water and fill the windshiled washer and still give you a salute as you left. Ha, now they dont do anything, cant speak english, and still give you a salute.
