Vaughn, you got it, I think. I had drained the old gas, and the fuel filter was good, and it only wants to die at low idle. I did the spray job with gumout carb. cleaner, and it seemed to help, but I still need to take out the screw and clean it up better. Meanwhile, I took the beast out on the road. As long as I keep the rpms up around 1200 or more, it runs fine. Now all the running gear sure seems LOUD. I think my new u-joint is whacking the floor board at higher rpms. But what a great thing to be mobile in the PW again! Now after a couple little details, like insurance and registration, I can venture further. Thanks to all for the good suggestions.
