For getting the gin pole initally up into position, it has to be done by another rig, or pulling up to a square wall ect and pushing it up into place untill you can lash into it with cables or whatever will keep it in place. BTW, I have to repair one that my dad made out of logs, and we overloaded it when we pulled the bed off of a M-812 bridge truck. Tom
