Never a dumb question. Flat Fender to distinguish the real Power Wagon from the later branded Power Wagons sold by hucksters. FF refers to the large flat as opposed to the traditional cab style still in use today. FF is a sensitive term, last year the worthiness of the term was discussed forever, but it ended up like politics or religion, no agreement. Personally, I dislike it. That will be the end of this year's discussion.
