I think I got one of the last 2004's before they started making 2004.5. You know, my first Cummins was a twelve valve 1997 and it towed everything I ask it to. My second was 2000 with twenty four valves and I was really impressed at how much more power it had over the twelve valve 97. Now I have a 2004 HO with way more power than the 2000. So, if the 2004.5 has even more power, so be it. I'm happy with my 2004 and being quite honest, it has more power than I really need.
