One advantage of the non-spring seat is bumps will not tend to launch you into the roof as much. I have bounced up many times. The springs will be more comfortable for trips of more than 1/2 hour. All things considered, I'd go with the springs anyway, since that seat is most likely more original and you can avoid the serious bouncing by anticipation and holding the steering wheel tightly. A seat belt would certainly help, too.
