I have had good luck using the sharpener on an old electric can opener. Other than that a flat wet stone & patience. When I was a kid there was a guy that walked the streets ringing a bell & dragging a foot operated grinder. Everyone (especially the ladies with their dressmakers scissors) would go out with their stuff & get it sharpened. Just another bit of Georges worthless knowledge,HAHAHA. GB
