I use an Enviro Fire III pellet stove. The fire box is air tite, combustion air is taken from the outside. No danger of Carbon Monoxide as its hooked to a 3 inch UL approved vent pipe thru the wall. Pellets
cost about $150 a ton and come in 40# plastic bags. Its cheap to run, safe and really does a job. I heat my 30x40 shop to 72 degrees when its 30 below. Depending on outside temperature I use roughly a bag a pellets a day.
