Well I finally got the coveted 3/8 truss head rivets to rebuild my FF Fenders, but I was a little disappointed that they weren't quite exact matches to the original rivets. They are the closest I could find but not perfect matches to the originals. I had to grind them down on the edge to make the head a smaller dia, and taper the head to a sharp edge like the original rivets, then they looked great but time consuming. Oh well it seems every part on these machines has to be caressed a little to make it look original. The only thing that I can say is the few fenders that I rebuilt with plain ole 5/16 carriage bolts look pretty good to me although I was scolded buy a politically correct Power Wagon Buff on this forum for using them. The rivets are just a easy once you have the right ones. My 02
