Most likely your snow plow is wired directly to the battery or starter solenoid. It is not run through the amp meter. This is necessary because the plow motor creates a large draw, up to 200 amps. When you run the plow, it draws down the battery which in turn causes the alternator/generator to charge the battery, and since the alt/gen is wired through the amp gauge, this is registered.
