weird electrical problem with amp gauge and plow

My amp meter reads charge when I use the snow plow. Everything else reads right, lights, heater etc all cause a move towards discharge.

This truck had the battery in backwards (pos ground) for a short time and I used the plow that way. I did correct this when I found the problem, got the alternator fixed and all seemed well with the electrons in my truck.

Now I am using the plow again (NW Michigan) and I notice this big charge when I know of course the plow causes a big discharge.

Nothing about the wiring on the plow was changed. What is going on??
