Thats true! I have a independant parts store i deal with. I went through 4 starters from them. They used a fly by night rebuilt brand. The 4th time it crapped on me I pulled it and took it down to the trusty rebuild shop and spent double what a parts store one would have cost. But I was tired of hassling and rastling that starter out from under a 440 engine. A real pain.

In this day and age we are starting to be happy with 2nd or 3rd best in parts and pieces. I am afraid the small outfits are about all gone. This guy seems to have starters and alternators with tags on them waiting to be picked up when ever I go in there. I think his business is doing well.
