Norm,

My Milwaukee has 250 FT/LBS of torque!

The Dewalt is only 137.5 ft/lbs.

When they come up with one with a bit more power I will consider switching, but the Milwaukees will have to die first and that might take a while.

On the subject, I have a keyless chucked 3/8 12V dewalt that I have had for 10 years, I beat it to death, dropped it from 12 feet onto concrete, and I never lubed the chuck.

The batteries are pretty worn, but it still does anything I ask it to do (I have a 1/2" 900rpm Dewalt for the SERIOUS stuff, I have pulled it out twice in the past 4 years) and the chuck has only slipped a couple times in the 10 years I have owned it, mostly when the bit got stuck in steel.

In fact my fathers 1970s Black and Decker (orange with the 3' cord!) has a keyed chuck, and I have slipped that one 10 times more then my keyless.

I would not own another keyed chuck for most normal uses.

Eric
