I haven't read all the other posts yet, so might be sticking my foot in my mouth! My approach was not pre-planned, but just worked out this way. However, it seems to be a good rule of thumb: both of my cordless drills are keyless (Dewalt 14V & an old Skil 12V). These end up being used mostly for wood work and screwdriving. Both of my cord drills (Milwaukee 3/8 & Porter Cable 1/2 hammer/drill) are keyed. I think if/when I had to replace any, I'd stick with the same plan. Happy New Year Joe! Bruce
