Most LP units these days are used in fleet service where the company buys in bulk or has a fleet account at a lower price per gal.
Forklifts are overall safer using it but ,today the cost of LPG is not worth the benefit it was years back and when they had us scared we were about to run out of oil!
The only benefit I see these days is the lower maint. due to almost no carbon deposit.
Personally, if it doesn't have a dual fuel carb unit to switch back and forth between LPG and gasoline, I'd just replace the unit with a carb and save or sale the LPG unit.
Oh yes, there is a diff. in performance between normal down-the-road driving and get-down-N-grunt power driving while pulling loads or accelering.
