Okay, I'll take the bait.
First, ask your mom. Most women fail to see the beauty in an old PW. So bringing one to her house that won't move under its own power isn't a smooth move. I don't know about updating your life insurance, but the holidays could get awful lonely...
Second, I'd rethink the 6BT in a PW. It's really too long for the engine bay. Those who have done it had to cut things to make it fit. The 4BT works well and you will find a few around the Forum who have done this swap.
Spend the next few months asking and reading past forums. (The PWA is good, too.)Lots of knowledge and experience out there.
Your dad is lucky to have a kid who'd think about buying him a truck. Mostly it's the other way around. Good luck.
