Please tell is why you want to use modern axles and other driveline components on a 46-68 PW ? Why would you think the,far from air-tight and cramped cab would be adequite for your purpose ?
If you find the original equipment so inferior let me offer a suggestion to consider before you butcher a perfectly good
PW ! As Paul Cook suggested, find a wrecked
truck with the drivetrain and chassis you would prefer, then buy the USBODYSOURCE, fiberglass PW cab and front end which can be better made to seal more airtight and adaptable to conversions and modifications without the spoiling of original and limited sheetmetal.
We presume you are just infatuated with the bodystyle ,so you have no real need of a PW only a vehicle with the resemblance of one.
