I ran across a '74 Ramcharger. This is quite a peculiar vehicle. Since I am kinda broke right now, I dont plan to outlay any cash for it, just do some trading perhaps. Anyhow, the truck is a '74, and I know that '74 was the first year for it. It has factory Meyer Snow plow on it. It is powered by a 360, and a 4 speed. I noticed it has a 203 Transfer case in it. Thats weird...I thought all Dodge 4X4's thru '74 were 205 T-case, then in '75 they changed over to the 203 and ran it thru 79.... Did the '74 Ramcharger have drum brakes on the front as well? The truck has the origional doors, but somebody welded window frames on it from regular pickup doors. For a Michigan Ramcharger, it is in good shape. Most of the rust out has already been fixed and done very well. The stucture of the tub is still in good shape.

Do I need this truck? No not at all, do I want it? Yes! Why I want it? I would pull plow off it, and put a set of grippy 33's on it, Paint it cammoflage, put a brushguard-PTO winch on the front, and I have a perfect truck to use in the fall-winter as my hunting ride. There is no back seat in it, meaning I can put a dog box back there.

On the '72-up Dodges, if you got one with a PTO winch or added a winch, did you still have to run winch off transfer case PTO like on the Sweptlines, or could you easily run it off the trans PTO?

Merry Christmas Ya'al!
