My son collects 2WD Dodge trucks of the forties and fifties. He has a 1954 Dodge one-ton, dually pickup with the 9 foot bed. They are all quite rare. Few were produced each year.

Then most were worked to death. Among the "old timers" of that era, Dodge seemed to be the vehicle of choice for being used up totally. Because they had duals, the few that survived had the beds discarded and became wrecking yard boom trucks or other special purpose heavy-duty "beater" trucks. The few that I ever saw typically had their doors removed and had not been registered to be operated on the road for many years.

Get this truck and take it to a car show. It will be the only "manly" truck there - except for the Dodge CTD's, of course.
