You can only remove 11 inches of the tails on the frame and not get into the spring mounts. This will keep the wheel base the same. But if you cut the center out of the frame you will change the wheel base. If the tails are cut off at 11 inches you can slide the rear cross member between the rear spring mounts and it will look stock but the total frame will be shorter and again the wheel base will not change. Just take a close look at the frame for welds of if the tails were removed. Mark H.
